Lighting Design
Good lighting is essential for every building or facility in order to provide safety, efficiency, and space enhancing for work or general living. Using our extensive knowledge of lighting technology, sector  applications, and standards, we engage with clients and design teams at an early stage to develop the most cost effective and energy efficient lighting solutions, and to deliver project expectations.

Life Safety Systems
Two of the essential Systems in this area are: Fire Detection & Alarm and Emergency Lighting. MEP is experienced in analysing and applying the relevant National & International Standards to match individual projects, and incorporating the particular requirements of Local Authorities and Fire Consultant’s fire strategies.

Standby Power
All enterprises rely on continuity of power to support their activities, whether the focus is commercial (business/trading), as a service provider (e.g. data centre), or in life safety (e.g. hospital). Each case has a different set of criteria governing the level of integrity needed to meet their customer demand. MEP will consider the client criteria and performance objectives, and we will develop a suitable standby power infrastructure, incorporating a generator, UPS or power conditioning, in a centralised or distributed architecture with compatible control & monitoring systems to satisfy the enterprise objective.

Communications Infrastructure
Communications and all its forms -voice, data, signalling, monitoring, internet, LAN, WAN- have become, for the majority of businesses, the most ubiquitous and important service in support of their operations. MEP has extensive knowledge of the requirements for such systems, to ensure that the appropriate passive infrastructure is deployed throughout the facility to support any and all of the systems that will make up the communications matrix of the business. We can design the power, environmental, and security systems for the equipment rooms, which form the core of these systems, to ensure all operations are under optimum conditions.
